Description
This image is a tribute to my first idol, George Michael who passed on Christmas morning 2016.
I have been a HUGE fan since he was in Wham! and I first heard, Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go in 1984. I was 8 years old and had snuck watching MTV, it was an instant crush and favorite song.
Then in 1987, his solo album Faith came out. Once again I snuck watching MTV and was enamored by the gorgeous bad boy singing. (At the time I doubt I connected this bad boy with his much different more colorful/fun Wham! persona.) Due to the nature of the songs on the album (Mainly: I Want Your Sex") of course my 11-12-year-old self was not allowed the cassette no matter how much I begged. So, I got creative, and took an old cassette, I do not remember if it was mine or one I liberated from my parents, got a trusty piece of scotch tape and had a friend whose older sibling had the album that recorded over that for me on her double cassette radio. It was a treasured secret possession.
I did finally convince my mother to buy me a t-shirt with a still from the Faith video on it, I wore it until it fell apart, and am guessing my mother threw it away because it could no longer be washed.
I have shed many tears listening to his music since his passing.
There are far too many beloved songs to even try and choose from but as a favorite but Faith will always be special since that was the first time I fell head over heels into puppy love. That is why I chose to recreate this as my tribute.
His jacket's texture design was lovingly recreated by myself and not something available to the public.
Goodbye, and Godspeed Mr. Michael's your light in this world will never go out as long as you have fans and loved ones to keep it alive and burning on...

it seems that some entertainers have such a huge persona that many people come a notion that they actually know the person.
years ago in Houston I was standing next to a big TV star and then I realized that no matter how many times one sees a celebrity on TV, I was an unknown.
I worked for a lady that was one of the tops faces of a TV series, and she seemed very friendly. however lot of people I worked for always put on a face to get the best price.
outstanding remembrance and render
