Description

We have every weather this December from balmy shorts and teeshirt days to frost. The most important job for me was to see to the humungous lily which more or less filled the pond. The bottom four pics from right to left show how it looked, Louis doing the very hard work which is now more than I can manage myself and how it looks now, ready for the frogs and toads to spawn. The lily cuttings are waiting in the bucket for me to replant them. The removed rhizomes, the thickness of a man's arm, filled the waste bin that day!

Our weather's been much like yours---warm, frosty, rainy, the whole gambit!! I love the winter colors; I still have roses blooming and some calendulas. No pond, but there's a creek that divides the flat part of my property from the hillside, so have a natural "water feature"!! Have 10 fruit trees that need pruning---one being a huge apple that'll probably take a week to get done. Then of course, there's weeding, fertilizing, mulching, heck, you know what needs doing!!

Happy new year and btw,, Love this latest collection!!
