The idea here is a very nice one. However, as it is now, the objects in the scene appear very blocky and «not really there» — if you look at the mountain, it seems as though it is a toy placed on a floor.
I would start with the ground here, make it more ragged and not so unnaturally flat. A more varied texture would also help, and making it blend better with the base of the mountain. It would also be a good idea to raise the knight and his horse a bit — if you look closely, the horse's legs are in the ground. It may be hard to to put them on the ground instead, but it's well worth the time. Such a small thing is very important in making an image look real.
The knight's head behind the mountain has some odd egdes in his armour. You may want to smooth it in your 3D program of choice (Bryce?) or smugde it a bit in postwork. Right now his armour gives an odd impression of being a tent(!), with the egdes being the tent poles showing through stretched fabric — probably not the effect you're looking for!
Another thing which catches my attention is an access point to the castle — or rather the lack of one. Now the castle looks impossible to reach. That may be what you want, and if so you may ignore this part of my advice, but to me this is something that gets stuck in the back of my head and bugs me. Some sort of path or even a crude elevator-like device would IMHO be in place.
My last point of advice is mostly a matter of taste, but since I'm on a roll here... You have several points of attention cramped into a rather small space here, and I think the image would benefit of being wider; a more panoramic style. I feel this image tells a story, and with such images it is especially important that the eyes can wander over it. You want the viewer to study each part of the image, and give a moment of thought to what is going on.
Okay, I'm finished now, I promise. Do let me now if you put up another version of this later!

This is an absolutely GORGEOUS beginner (or anybody else) image. Full of imagination, drama, spaciousness and beautiful color harmonies. Dreamlike and mythical. Wonderfully potent.
