Description

Well, duh... Again something I quite didn't have time enough to finish in a week. Don't know when I'll have time to work w this one again, so here it is... Started as a "cool weird monster" and ended up as yet another test of modelling a face :/ Texturing is purely done with imagines procedurals. The appearance might improve quite a lot with a proper bump-map, but that also has to wait... Rendered in 3 passes, one for the color and shading, one for the faked specularity, and one for the reflections in the eyes. The specularity pass ended up as the longest render, since I had to use very high antialiasing and sampling to get it smooth enough, and even then it doesn't look quite that good... Maybe he has come straight in form the rain ;) Hannu Parviainen hannu@astro.helsinki.fi www.saunalahti.fi/hpparvi

Wonderful work ! I hope you will post the final version, when done. The shape looks so smooth, you must have used zillions points !

Definitly a "cool weird monster: if ever I saw one.Fantastic modelling job,you are an inspiration my friend.Maybe the shower, and not in from the rain, as the evidence of the reflections in his/hers/it's eyes reveal a sunny day out the kitchen window.lol

Excellent rendering and texturing. Would be nice to see this develop into a Venice carneval like character. With clothing and hat to match.
