Fantastic Image. I found bugs with some products that behave odd in the new studio, so back to previouse version until it is fixed.

I had no problems with the install, and it chewed up a pretty complicated scene in relatively short time, so that went well. I have no idea what any of the new camera and render settings do yet though.

Very good work!

That's a great looking render, DW!
I understand IRAY will now work with the Nvidea GTX10XX series cards, so I'll most likely load it on this machine since it has a 1070. I'm gonna wait a couple weeks to see how many bugs crop up, though.

I am so confused. Iray is a Nvidia program and they told me over the phone that Iray is not supported by any of there GTX cards. I have also been having a running conversation with DAZ tech support and they have at no time contradicted what Nvidia informed me that only Quadro cards now support Iray. The best DAZ has been able to do as refer me to there Beta program which puts a load on the car but no increase in speed. I even mentioned the new version which I got an email on but they made no mention it would help me. In fact I have it in writing as it is the only way to communicate with DAZ that they do not have the Pascal chip cards and have no intention of getting them. That tells me that th3ey have no intention of supporting Iray in future. I assume the improvements in the program they put out is for older Nvidia cards that did support Iray. If you have a newer card with a Pascal chip and you get faster renders please let me know the is always a chance the teck I was corresponding with was an idiot. Here nis just a sample of my texts with DAZ that have been going on for a month.
Hi there I just got this email from DAZ:
http://www.daz3d.com/01-05-new-iray?utm_source=bm23&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Image+-+See+today%27s+deals&utm_content=Start+The+New+Year+With+The+New+Iray!&utm_campaign=(01-05-17)+Start+The+New+Year+With+The+New+Iray!
Made me think maybe a fix for me but no. when I researched the "New" it was new in June of 2016 maybe. I looked at the beta version of studio in forums and noted there was some other people complaining the their 1060 card was not working. Other user recommended getting faster CPU which actually is the right answer. No one appeared to know that the current GTX card do not support Iray and the Pascal chip Quatro cards that do support Iray do not work either. I am sure buried in the fine print somewhere they state that the GTX cards no longer support Iray or maybe they just fail to mention it, but it would be nice if you did so people do not waste there money like I did. I know you mention somewhere that to use Iray you need an Nvidia video card whih is why I bought one in the first place. Maybe somewhere you mention it has to be a pre Pascal vid3eo card somewhere and I just have not found it.
Thanks

Hi Steve,
It is indeed a disappointment to have such a nice system and not be able to use it the way you would like to. I do apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, we would need a number of users reporting the same issue before we could get approved to get a card this pricey.
You may want to research octane renderer for Daz Studio. I have heard from a co-worker here that that may be a better option for rendering.
Please let me know if you have further questions.
Thanks, Crissie
