Description

Things are not looking up at the moment. I am trying to get a transfer to another control room. I do not know if i will succeed. It was mentioned in a meeting during the week that our power station wont run again. My uncle went to hospital at the end of last year. They cut him open and found cancer growth inside his stomach. They cut out what they could and closed my uncles stomach with staples. I took this capture this morning at work using my nephews Nikon P900 digital camera that i borrowed from him for the week since our station is in such a state that our station is now completely dead. There is no electricity to be found in our power station. The only station transformer that kept our station alive tripped last year. After the electricians searched for the fault, they found that a cable that was not latched properly in 2012 was the cause of the problem. It cost R18000 to get a outside company to repair the cable. Meantime when the only transformer tripped the battery power run down. They then all of a sudden went to inspect the batteries and filled the batteries with battery water. A rectifier burned and need to be repaired for the batteries to be charged but i believe all the batteries was damaged as well as they were not inspected monthly as was supposed to be done by our electricians. To repair the rectifier will cost a further R85000. So my Renderosity friends i do not know what lies ahead for me and all workers at our power station in 2017. God bless.

So worrying for you to be a victim of managerial incompetence. Outrageous!

I do hope for a great outcome for you.

I love this photo!

Christo - your image is stunning but I am very disturbed by your situation and the situation and your power station. How can this country afford to shut down another power station when the grid is barely kept alive with supply. And to top it all - this was all caused by negligence and incompetence it sounds. The mind boggles... I cannot help but wonder how much worse must it get before it gets better??? I am so sorry that you are caught in the middle of this mess. You and the other workers do not deserve this. I really hope and pray that you will get out of this strong. I will keep you in my prayers.
