At first sighting, my thoughts were of a buteo (red tailed hawk) languishing about the sky, but then there were six others, and I have never known hawks to gather in packs

Apparently our changing season has brought another creature into the city, perhaps to remove a few dead neighborhood squirrels... a band of turkey vultures !

we always have the turkey vultures . too bad they do not take the squirrels alive. we have many hawks but the squirrels out number rthem
