The Carnival of the Animals
Camille Saint-Saëns est un compositeur et musicien français de l'époque romantique, né à Paris le 9 octobre1835 et mort à Alger le 16 décembre 1921. Il était également pianiste et organiste. Il a écrit douze opéras, dont le plus connu est Samson et Dalila, de nombreux oratorios, cinq symphonies, cinq concertos pour piano, trois pour violon et deux pour violoncelle, des compositions chorales, de la musique de chambre, des piècespittoresques,dont Le Carnaval des Animaux en 1886.
Camille Saint-Saëns is a French composer and musician of the Romantic period, born in Paris on October 9, 1835 and died in Algiers on December 16, 1921. He was also a pianist and organist. He has written twelve operas, the best known of which are Samson and Dalila, numerous oratorios, five symphonies, five piano concertos, three for violin and two for cello, choral compositions, chamber music, and picturesque plays, including Le Carnival of the Animals in 1886.
