You did nothing wrong! Technically I mean. What could you do? Try a photo in background. Use the colors of the picture for the light colors. Use spot lights insted of infinte 'cause they have better spaed shadows (shadow map resolution up to 2048 works fine). Try another pose (this one is not really interresting). Render it bigger in size. Do some little postworks in photoshop (for exemple) for a better integration of your character in the background and voil Sometimes, the path is hard but keep the pressure!
