Description
I was looking up Civil War history on Jefferson and noticed one web site mentioned "the romance".
just because they were not slaves and never lost their whole family as so many people did.
"the romance" owners of huge plantations built with forced labor of slaves and stolen land

Bet the wall could tell stories if it could speak. Love the pitina.

What a great wall with so much character and detail! I am not familiar with "the romance", but I live about a two hour drive away from The Gettysburg Battlefield. The original movie that cable station TNT made about the battle is absolutely incredible. That's like a five hour movie. Amazingly well done.

Awesome, the history of the building would be a book in itself!

I love the textures all over that wall. I've never heard of 'The Romance' But there's nothing romantic about building wealth and empire on the backs of others.

I love images like this where a plant or tree grows from virtually nowhere! Great composition too Richard!
