I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!
Rod

impressive storytelling and renders!!

At long last, they meet! This could be the start of a beautiful friendship between Fae Valley and T.N.A.! the details are so inclusive and lend to the scenes. You captured Kinnie's wonder and amazement as well as being overwhelmed by all around her. The little touches of magick around the letter is perfect.
all-in-all a great 4 pages of the prologue to get us going.
Excellent work

Arquinia, such a beautiful name for your character, Big Bro! It can be a nice name for a queen. You always come up with all these fascinating names. Top-notch work!

It's so fascinating to see the relation between the two women; and the Fae Valley's statements about magic and how it's a part of their world just as science is a part of the other. (I read both letters: Really well written, and beautifully created, visually.) Your frames, as always, are chock full of delicious detail, which calls us to look and look because you pack-in so much. I love all the stuff you put on computer screens; I love what looks like an aerial photo of the landing area (frame 1). And of course your usual deftness with outfit and poses and lighting. You always get lots of expressive poses in your frames, so the people aren't just 'standing' there: Not easy, I assume, to convey action in a still-action frame. And even composition-wise---the first frame is divided by that split in the middle, with dark hues; and much more light on either end (with Arquina on one side, and the two women on the other). Love their outfits too. Finely detailed and lit.
And you have the landing 'shot'---essential to film, giving one shot to connect the 1st and 3d scenes: It's all you need. The meeting, in 3, is composed as a big room circling around the director. Love the variety of light, and of course the stuff in the background. I look at this stuff, believe me (and what in the WORLD is that thing next to the mini-robot, with a light? It's to our left of the phone---it's got 2 iron balls on the bottom and some gear-thingy on top, and a crank, and---what IS that thing, lol? Maybe something you used in your drawing days? It looks like something from the 17th C that they used before machines...) I love the artwork and ID's in the background, and how Arquina is the center of the image, with her green hair harmonized by your green paint on the wall...(Upp is balder than me...that's an accomplishment!)
And finally, the last 2 scenes, with the letter, which you delightfully made 'blank' right before Upp read it. (And a photo of an old covered bridge, or barn? Is that Kansas? Love that it's sitting on his screen.) She's obviously flustered with her new assignment and meeting new people---you hinted at that in the letters---and he (old baldy!) experiences Fae magic first hand. A delightful new chapter, with lots of attention to detail everywhere, a great pair of letters, and setting the scene for something very enchanting to unfold---with undertones of things unknown, maybe even conflicts...Wonderfully done, once more, Rod.

I like how you're not facing the camera, you sorta look like captain Picard. Each segment is thrilling and just heats up the thrill of the new chapter, can't wait .. Zlata has a cute niece. Fx and render are the best, Rod. Tenacious and Tina send hugs boss.

I am SOOO into this, and her...Love the eye candy and storyline!

You Really Need To show your face so we know it's you and not some Korean Knockoff Clone.
RodS
Now, what makes you think it's me? Just because I.........uh....., I mean Director Upp is bald on top with salt & pepper hair.... Besides, I....... I mean HE....... has to keep his true identity a closely guarded secret from all but a very few close associates. This is so the North Koreans can't clone a cheap knock-off......
We've got this stuff all figured out, ya know.....
GrandmaT
Incredible work! I notice the image on his computer screen quickly changed once the girls showed up.
Desgar
A perfect end to the prologue. Kinnie looks awesome (rendered and drawn), and perhaps it gives me a glimpse as to Zlata's true form.
The scene of TNA One approaching HQ is beautiful. Would make a great wallpaper.
North Korea and cloning...Clone Army...Fat Pudding Kim Flung Poo is Palpatine in disguise (Yeah, I wish)...like my Divas and Team Ranpha don't have enough to worry about? :D
renecyberdoc
most awesome and delicious details brother in art.
Madbat
I agree, the face of the director should be kept a closely guarded secret. You never know who might try to make a clone! And I also want to know what the heck that thing on his desk is! Is that a tiny crank?
Leilana
This is awesome!!! Fantastic work!
KatesFriend
You did an amazing amount of work for this one Rod. And a love the detailed high tech look of it all especially when contracted against Arquinia who seems to require no technology - save a wardrobe. Nice effects too.
UteBigSmile
I totally agree with ZigZag, therefore I make a copy- paste of this comment - Lol!
My God, Rod, what beautiful and amazingly detailed work! These scenes are spectacular and the Fae Valley letter is so cool! And not only interactive, also immersive. Love your camera work and perspectives, buddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is awesome Rod. You really stretched outside the box here and have opened up the TNA world to all manner of possibilities. I'm really looking forward to see what you're going to come up with next.
