Das finde ich bei den älteren Ferienhäusern in Dänemark auch sehr schön. Eine kleine Wiese auf dem Dach.

Mountain greenery. Marvelous color, contrast and detail in this stunning capture of the gardened cabin and environs, Sossy. I wonder if the roof will eventually rot away when it gets wet from the moist foliage on top.

Under the layer of grass are about 3 layers of birch bark. This material lets no water through the roof. This kind of roof lasts 30 to 50 years ☺
