Description

Nr. four: This fence is soooo old! It is standing alone in the woods protecting nothing any-more. In the past here was a botanical garden, what was situated around a magnificent cloister, where seminars were held. Around it was huge forest, which was absolutely forbidden area in that time. The wood is still there, and not far from our house. Currently, the cloister serves as a refugee centre. That's it, dear friends. And it's bedtime for me, so bye, bye, and thank you very much!

Very nice finding and capture Jacomina.
I wonder why the fence is protected with a very stable looking bicycle lock.

I haven't been commenting for a while and I am sorry, for falling way behind Jacominchen, but I am definitely thinking of you and your health in particular and I hope all is OK with you ?

What a wonderful image you have shown us here, like a gate to nowhere and everywhere, 'cause there is no lock and key, the way we like it ! let me re-phrase that, there is a lock - but you need to know, how to get around it, very clever - but it's always open to everyone or anyone, who would like to visit, just like our open house here in OZ...marvelous my friend 😊

You photograph old decayed objects beautifully. The light is golden, and the shadows are peaceful, and the gate has a grace and beauty all its own, even though it's old and beat-up. With the beautiful trees in the background---all vertical---the lines of the gate blend perfectly with the background. A very peaceful shot, I really like it, Jacomina.
