Description
A portion of Long Beach, California harbor, captured from the deck of the RMS Queen Mary, on my old Sears (Pentax) film camera, way, way back in 1983. The only thing I can identify for sure are the vehicles and parking lots, all the rest sheer conjecture.

Interesting and delightful capture of a clean looking harbour ☺

I really liked this when it went up, I liked the intense crowdedness of it, and the massing and then no massing; and the play of lights and darks. And how odd those houses look, something from a European village compared with the flatter vistas in this shot. A rich, multi-angled shot, with a picture postcard veneer, and bright light to boot. It takes the frame perfectly, too. Fine work.
(Harry, I just started here, but I got a call from my sister, and it's probably going to be a while; and I'll have to go to sleep after that. So I'll pick up tomorrow. ((I'm going from where I left off.)) Btw, I posted a very, very long piece of writing; and it's messy, unfinished, and probably difficult to read. Please don't feel any need to read it---you're great with all my work, and if you skip over pieces that will probably be tedious, esp when you're struggling as it is, it's absolutely fine. You can skip whenever, however; you've been loyal as can be, and i'm very appreciative. I'll be back tomorrow. I hope you're holding on through everything...)
