Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I skipped over an image only because it's getting late (and I want to get up an upload before I go to sleep). I'll be back for more soon. But you mentioned your son's wedding, and again I hope it was beautiful and moving, and I am very happy for you, having a daughter in the family now. And I hope they're very, very happy. The shot is a potpourri, and I love the stray feeling of it; kind of like I'd expect your kitchen to look )(or any room in your home). And I love the light on the wall---no matter where it comes from---and the dark shadows, and the 'interior' feel of it all. And of course the orchids, with all that other stuff above it. Sweet shot of a small portion of your home. Love all the stuff you have.

Ditto most everyone above. And thanks for reminding me of the load of orchid photos I have and should begin posting. Plus I have no idea on how to transfer phone photos to a computer. In fact, I have never taken a picture with my flip open cellphone.
