playing with primitives and lighting Nothing special really Just trying to see what the system can do for me This render took 8 minutes and all surfaces were shiny Thank you all for your comments and suggestions - I really do appreciate them

I love the way you're approaching this, Mike. What awesome reflections you got here. It's like an optical illusion the way the reflection appears to change the shape of the white cone at the five o'clock position.

I Love the tones of the reflections, and I see a little of the optical illusion ZigZag 321 speaks of. I like the huge dark gray surface and the black behind that. (In design work, they call this "tonal"---two or more tones in the same family of color.) I love the simplicity and starkness of these. I did Adobe Illustrator years back, and I just didn't get the 'feel' of constructing art with skeletons, and then seeing the finished product afterwards. And there was no 'render' time in that. I assume this takes patience. I really like the light and the reflections, and the bold presence here.
