My name is Jim Carter. I am retired. Why call myself pimanjc? I was a mathematician. Pi = 3.14, I'm a man, and JC are my initials.
I enjoy making renders with faeries, childrens' activities, and families. Many of my renders go back to my childhood memories or those newer adventures of my grandkids or relatives.
I also enjoy photography. Nature, sports, and especially my grandchildren, their friends, and their activities, are my favorites. I currently use an Nikon D7100. Garden Landscaping, Garden Railroading, RC-electronics, and Modeling are other interests.
I try making landscapes using Vue Complete, but am often frustrated. I wish I could find a local training class to take on Vue. Kindredsoul has been a lifesaver for me in terms of learning how to use vue. I enjoy working with Poser and Photoshop too. Often, I superimpose a poser figure onto a real photographic background. I hope you enjoy seeing my art...I will comment your artwork as much as I can....... I love browsing thru galleries to see others' art work. Some of you have amazing art pieces. No two are the same. Creativity abounds here. The quality of some of the landscapes astounds me.

Beautiful to see all statues and places. It is a great memorial center. I have been also to several ware cemeteries and it was clean and peaceful, but sad to see them. Sad because the cause that every killing is a useless victim of a government that thinks they can rule the world. The bombing today makes ruins of villages and later on we all pay the prize to rebuild everything. It is time we shake our neighbors hand and accept who we are. Not more, not less, but humans of our planet earth. Today I am afraid about what's going on when the oil pipeline will cross the Indian cemetery and ask myself if your president also would lay a pipeline through a war memorial as this.

These images of the Korean Memorial were not posted as a political statement. or to provoke political comments. They were posted to honor those who have fallen or served there [two of my uncles]. The images are also posted to celebrate the beauty of the object and skills of the artists that created the statuary or engravings. This applies to all of the statuary images I have posted.

Thanks. Very interesting memorial. And thanks for pointing out the reflection of the statues in the polished rock surface. My hat off to the sculptor who came up with this. The Korean War, so close after WWII, and nearly forgotten due to that. And people being so tired of war. Keep up the good work! :-)

Exceptional image... When I was there it was very difficult to get clear pictures of the wall.

This is an amazing memorial - I love that the images disappear when wet, and reappear as the wall dries. That took some real skill on the sculptor's part. A beautiful way to pay homage to those who served.

As a WWII vet myself I can really appreciate the beauty of this hi-tech memorial and what it indicates.
