So I decided to try G3 out with Iray with a character set up for such things. This is Ceridwin by Saiyaness (DAZ). I really like this character as she reminds of something from the Pre-Raphaelite era of paintings, specifically of those by Dante Gabriel Rossetti. She has a cool nose and soulful eyes. She also comes with some spiffy exotic fantasy skins. I used the purple ones here. One of the few G3 hair props I have is Super Sleeky Hair by OOT (DAZ). I have to say I am very impressed with how this hair renders in Iray. I didn't feel the need to touch it up at all. The lighting came from -dragonfly3d-'s Light it Up Iray Lights II. I used the light with the Environment turned off to get the black look I was going for with the background. Overall, I did very little postwork on this image. No matter where I placed a light, I could not get a glint in her eye, so I added that in Photoshop. I fixed a shadow on her shoulder with the heal tool, and I used paint daubs to add some final crispness to the image. That's it.
