Oh how I wish I could live in winters like this. It is breathtakingly beautiful! The icy cold blue hue of the bottom half of the image with that pop of warm pink sky at the top makes a perfect picture.

the blue against the gold-yellows of the sky is beautiful. (The blue in the snow, I mean. A kind of blue-green almost.) And your composition---with the heavy trees on the right, and the open sky in the left---is fine balance. A beautiful shot: real contrasts, and a real winter capture. (Unlike Mike or Carin, we definitely have snow like this. Beautiful.) And the line of snow at the bottom is a natural frame...
(Btw, thanks for the comment on Monet: I think the show I referred to had one or more of those Monet's in it, on loan. In any case, I saw them in MoMA, and they are breathtaking. It must have been a labor of love to paint pieces that huge, and still retains his 'overview' ((ie, when you see it from a distance...)).)
