Description

This humongous narcissistic eagle was also part of the parade celebrating the 50th birthday anniversary of my city, captured way back in August of 2007. It's not exactly the broad scope of a Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, but it's the best we could do on a limited budget.

Makes me wonder - the bill for all that helium! Nice shot. You got a great angle on this one! Keep up the good work. And, fun to see your towns 50th anniversary. Well worth a celebration. :-)

(You think some eagles are looking on from the mountains, and shouting, "Uncle Phil!!!") Quite a sight, dominating the simple bleached sky and that simple blue-trimmed facade, like a behemoth. Strong caramel-y browns; and that typical fierce eagle face. It's almost funny, but it's also striking. And I really like your angle, the diagonal, and the way it dominates every bit of the space. Finely centered and cropped too.
