Description

Continuing my "rebuild old designs" idea, this time for a ship that is meant to move a larger number of passengers relatively short distances. Wow, I can really feel the "out of practice blues" on this one. I basically tinkered with it on and off all day today. Granted, there were many (and sometimes fairly long) breaks, especially due to recent events, but still. There was a time when I could have knocked this thing out in half the time, and probably would have worked on a second one, as well. I've gotta get my "chops" back in gear. The ship model was constructed from Bryce primitives, the main hull texture is my own creation, while most of the supporting structural elements are a preset texture. Background, compositing and a bit of additional effects were all done in Photoshop. As always, comments, suggestions, and critiques are encouraged. Thanks for taking a look.

Are there any empty seats on this ship? This planet's going to hell - I want to get off...

You may be out of practice, Mike, but you can still create an awesome ship and space-scape!

I'm glad you're making these things again. I always loved these. They have a practical and realistic look to them.
