I first started with CG when I was in high school. In art class we could mess around with 3D Studio Max R2.5. None of the teachers knew anything about how to use the program, all we had was a tutorial book. Although I've always loved computers and 3D, back then I didn't realize a person could make a career out of it. I ended up pretty much dropping it until recently (about 12+ years later).
I studied computer science when I was in college, but at the time sitting in front of a computer for hours on end sounded unappealing. So I got back into what I grew up doing and worked in construction. Now after injuries, falling off roofs and meeting a guy who works in VFX, my passion for CG has been re-ignited. Which brings me to where I'm at today, dabbling with CG any chance I get and loving it!

I Like How You are Able to List Your Process how you came to set your scene some times I try but usually it Ends up something like this I parented the sword in her hand and it flew out of the scene took awile to find it because instead of moving the x axis I moved The X Scale or something like that

Hehe, I've definitely done plenty of that. With this image I first parented the sword to her hand, but then after struggling to get the sword placed right by moving her arm around, I actually found it easier to un-parent the sword, place it where I wanted it, and then just move her hand to it.
