A real old timer judging by the colors of his spots and according to the horns I would say male. I wonder what happened to the one.

Sadly, I only had a few hours at this particular zoo, so I don't know the details concerning this giraffe. I did notice that he (if memory serves) was wandering along on his own. The enclosure wasn't particularly crowded or small, but he was intent on being alone.

There was a mother and a young calf... So it might just be that he was warned off by her.
