still getting used to the new studio, but am comfortable with it for the time being. next step is to re-learn product packaging, going forward everything will be is "non-poser" format, my brain just cant take it anymore, lol...
while i am enjoying studio, still cant see it replacing carrara or bryce. for me, scene composing just isnt "smooth" enough, and other things not as intuitive as carrara or bryce. However..... i have never been able to get the image quality from them such as i have with the new studio, and that stings =/

After I learned Poser, Daz and ZBrush...I didnt have anything left for Bryce so I passed. She looks great in that lighting.

I've been admiring your work for years! I too am a big fan of Bryce. As anyone can see from my gallery I have not done much with it in a good long while. Anyway, that's beside the point of me writing. My question for you is this: What do you think it is that is built into DAZ Studio that enables it to do such stunning images, so much better than Bryce? Sometimes it seems to me (this is from observation, not my experience) like it is largely a matter of 1) superb lighting and 2) excellent texture maps & models. Do you think it is possible with a great deal of care to get great lighting in Bryce that would at least approximate the quality in DAZStudio? Or does it go much deeper than that with the inner workings of how Studio "handles" light, shading, reflections, bounced light, ambient light, etc. etc? And, I have a request. Could you set up a scene in both Bryce & DAZStudio as much alike as possible, and render them and show us for comparison and tell us some details such as how they compared on render times, ease of setup, etc? I have used DAZ (a tiny bit) but haven't really dove into it yet.
