Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time. I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

Yup a little better. Ok its another file with other settings, but both were better than the first I posted. These drawings are made in a time where it cost alot to send bigger photos, so I had resized them and I SO regret that now. :)

OOOPS! Forgot to tell, what I did to make it look better and smaller. I added a 310 pixel wide border in same color as Renderosity´s background. HA! Better with a smaller clear image, than a large blured one, huh? Not bigger for any price, is my opinion.

Yes, in addition to RR not posting full sizes of our photos (because of space, ads, people with smaller screens, etc), RR also has the habit of posting slightly larger zooms than we intend. I don't know why. I've had to size-down a few of images as well, to get the right resolution. We all know that when someone makes a pic too large, it gets murkier, less defined. So I understand your concern.
But: The larger version of this is still quite beautiful. It lacks some definition, yes, and your repost makes that clear. (The repost has stronger blacks too.) In any case, more highly refined pencil work from you, studying contour after contour. Your 'gouges' are done with great skill. I learned long ago that drawing gouges isn't easy: You've conveyed the sculpted feeling beautifully. Also, they have 'presence': Meaning, it feels like they speak to us from across the centuries. Beautifully done, Helle, each stone is a little 'being', a little living, breathing thing. One wants to hold them and rub their sculpted surfaces. I hope you find 2 million more of these: They're a delight.
