Water, surface frozen, rest runs off, leaving hollow underneath. I once found these strange, but now appreciate their beauty as well as their mystery. Keep up the good work. :-)

very complex shot, with those two levels---the world inside the broken ice, and the world on top of it. And the twigs which cross over both. Fine sharpness too.
