Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

A unique & beautiful shot - I don't think I've ever seen fog this color (at first glance, it looked like a dust cloud to me)...

Wonderful shot

again, ditto claude---it's almost a pure abstract painting. Beautiful quality to the fog; and the contrast of those deep oranges with the blues above is terrific. As is the silhouette of the trees on the lower right: This looks like the Savannah. A beautiful purified shot. Really beautiful.

What a spectacular shot! I'd love to visit Hawaii someday.

Right out of the twilight zone. A wonderful depiction of what I thought at first was a large desert dune during a sand storm, M.
