Description

One of my very first ventures into 3D, this was rendered in 2011. As you can see, it's a bit amateurish. There are no shadows, the lighting looks homogeneous throughout, and the textures are almost just so much flat coloring on the surfaces of the people and objects. Well, we were all newbies once, weren't we? :) Thought I'd upload this as the 28th of January was Chinese New Year (this year is the year of the Rooster), during which we always like to come together with the rest of our family for a good reunion dinner. Wishing everyone a Happy Lunar New Year (新年快樂)! :)

"I had another look and I had a cup of tea and butter pie" (the butter wouldn't melt, so I put it in the pie!) Those lyrics from Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey popped into my head as soon as I saw this image. Very well done, BTW ! ! !
