wowie, zowie, do I love this. It's like you took a reeeealllly elaborate deck of playing cards and folded them into a gigantic fly. Amazing contrast and detail on that insect's back (that's what's known as "going overboard with the ol' tattoo gun"). In zoom---and there's no other way to see this!---it's got such elaborate patterns on it, like some ancient Chinese dragon paintings that you morphed and twisted into a fly. Beautiful colors too. And I love the snakey things crawling up his sides, and what looks like some 3D sunglasses. Also those deep golden wings are a knockout.

Annnnnnd......you put it all against black, which was perfect. Terrific piece, Tom. Something that'll give insect scientists something to think about for a lonnnnnnnng time...
