Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

I never use weight again because my shoulder was out of order 🙄

Smiles : I have a similar problem Andrea @
I have a exercise bike where I can see it too-- but the coats across the handle bars makes it difficult to use as much as it should be !
Sounds like you get good use out of your weights Andrea.

a combination of both is the best, I think!

I suppose they could be used as cudgels in a pinch. If you had an exercise machine as I do you could us it to hang clothes on.

OH Yes SIGH!! We purchased an exercise bike for Per, because he wanted to train his legs. Unfurtunately I cannot sit on a saddle. It gives me alot of pain. But have I seen Per even trying it yet? Nope and he wont let me sell it and my biggest wish is to get rid of it. It is filling up my intire painting store-shed.

Superb capture and post work Andrea. God bless.

against that stark black, these weights are like big bright gourds. Fine choice of background. And you postworked them with swirling colonized ridges. A really stark/bright capture. And the flickr version shows "feel the burn"---that's what they said about Bernie Sanders ("feel the bern") (oh would I love to have him in office instead of mr. orange-face-orangatan-mop-head) (I saw that there are a lotta people in Britain who aren't thrilled about Trump paying a visit...He's really brought out protesters, and it's so good to see that...) Love this shot.
