interesting image with an even more interesting ship name - Catskinner. Larry Niven had a similarly named earth ship that did battle with the ferocious, predatory felinoid Kzin in the Alpha Centauri system. Any connection?

yep..! Loved the books, the Man-kzin wars, and the ring world series. The name appeared only a couple of times, but I loved it.:)
