Interesting with the reflection of land and sky at the far end of the crater. The deepening blue towards the front suggest a vertical drop of huge proportion. Cool! Keep up the good work. :-)

(you know what I would do to drive a-ways out of chicago and see this?) Another near-abstract print-like photo, with more ultra clear tones and lines and forms. The blue of the lake is almost more sky; and your composition, with the snow in front, is a beautiful balance to all that dark blue, the blacks, the heavy greens of the trees, etc. It almost seems a fantasy, it's so perfect. Beautiful work.
