Just fooling around with Octane. Still haven't learned much. I seem to get better results still with setting that are supposed to be the worst quality. Also I have to convert to 8 bit from 16 bit to put my name on render since my Photoshop will not let me do it in 16 bit. What I get instead is a commercial from Adobe to subscribe to their cloud service. Oh well, I apologize for any errors as I once again am having computer type problems after upgrading my computer to a degree that both DAZ and Poser programs had not advanced enough so I could use their programs to any degree and had to get Octane, I found my new 50" 4K monitor was the problem. I have sent it back for a refund but am back to the 32" monitor which is hard for me to see. Of course the o longer had the model I had so now ended up buying a 55" 4K 3D TV which of course cost me 3 times more. Of course I have to wait a few weeks for it to arrive.

Outstanding Work,

I hate cloud anything. Adobe's rent-a-program got a big flat nope from me.

There isn't much of a visible difference between 8bit and 16bit for most renders, in my opinion. So don't worry about it. I know I save all my renders in 8bit! :) There is, however, a pretty big color difference between exporting a PNG file and an EXR file. I use PNG, personally, but some might prefer the colors of the EXR. Anyway, this came out lovely! I think her dress and pose are very pretty and the lighting came out nicely also!

I think that if you have to go through all that trouble to put your Name on your Render Just do you Name as a .png with a Transparent BG then you can paste it on Your Renders That as if you feel that you have to sign your work. You could do the watermark thing in case your work is stolen and Sold on the Black Market by the Mob!

Could have sent me the 4K monitor... as a gift... I'm still on old 27" dual monitors... I save as 16 bit PNG from Octane and have no problems with adding name and stuff in PS... so buggered if I know what your problem could be... yah... hate the cloud!!

This is really a beautiful render, Rick. That was my mom's favorite devotional song - and I love it, too.
Hope your computer woes ease up soon, my friend - you've had more than your share.
I usually just make a brush in PS with my copyright, name, and website. Then I can just stamp them on an empty layer, and adjust the size and opacity.

The violinist looks real charming with her exquisite dress, face and figure, but the place she's in appears kind of unsuited to her. Well, guess it's just me. The way the walls are textured, they almost look like they could be made of gold. :)
It must be so frustrating having to hunt down this and that piece of computer hardware so one can get that or this program to run. (That's why my system has TWO platforms, Windows XP and Windows 7, which I can choose from every time I turn my system on; this gives me the best of both worlds.) Hope the hunt's over. Thanks for following, by the way!
