It was about a guy who had a rattlesnake as a pet that bit some of his enemy's. Stanley was another one of those "Willard" and "Ben" knocks offs, but instead of rats they used a snake lol Great image, great job getting snaked coiled through the cross

I do not remember that film. Though, I suspect many later films - especially comedies - played with that narrative here and there that's why it sounds so familar. But the '70's had a lot of stories of man misusing nature for his/her own ends - 'Willard' and 'Ben' come to mind for me. Then of coarse, who can forget 'Night of the Lepus'?
