a couple of years ago one took off just as I was driving by. I tried to stop in time, but one of it's feet hit my windshield. it continued flying and even came back to get my license tag!!

I knew they are huge birds, but when one sees one a few feet in front of your windshield, just how large they are can be appreciated more
