Didn't realize Neil Wilson had passed :( Used to enjoy his creations on Share CG. Every once in a while a B-24 shows up as part of an annual Warbirds tour and is quite a sight to behold.

Fantastic image - though not one of the usual flight corridors out of SF. By the way my first plane trip was San Francisco to Honolulu in a DC-4 on the way to Shanghai a very long time ago. Two and a half days to cross the Pacific.
