I've never gotten my head around 3D, but if I were to take up any of its softwares, it would be Bryce. And in no small part because of art like yours. This is marvelous---on the surface it looks like just a bunch of verticals with some horizontals. But full size, it's a whole symphony. Great work with hues, you have 'families' of hues. And there's an island in the background, and a gridwork too. Lots of rhythms and counterpoint, with just the right balance between objects and atmosphere. Another terrific abstract from you, Steve.
(I've tried Blender, btw, and I can honestly say I lost my mind, and now consider it to be a legal form of torture.)
