I tried to get a similar photo of Colorado Springs at night from Cheyenne Mountain and failed. Artificial light has a pecularily haunting effect when seen from this perspective. It's similar to the astonishing satellite photos at night that capture city lights all across the US. In Colorado the contrast between seeing the brillance of the night sky from atop a mountain and the inability to see this luminous tapestry from within the obscuring effects of city lights.Great photo, great metaphor.
