Description
Captured way back on 5/3/07, at the pretty Butterfly Pavilion, adjacent to the beautiful Natural History Museum in Los Angeles, California.
Since there is a paucity of insects in my area, I had to drive 22 miles in order to photograph butterflies and moths.

A beautiful contrast of those rich browns with those rich reds and purples. And you cropped it for a tight up close look. It's simple but very bold, and you couldn't have shown off the butterfly any better. Fine color contrasts.
