Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Another Marilyn shot! Tara used to say, "only Marilyn would get a shot like this!" I love it---a big overhead view, vertigo city, those patterns below (and a mcdonald's arch---wasn't that an icon when you all were here?), the bleached sunlight, and then---boom: The needle ghost! Love your pov, the tilt, all of it. And yeah, they move that high up: People who live in our Hancock Bldg say that the building 'sways'. (Sways. I wouldn't be too thrilled about that.) Love this shot too.

Just brilliant! I don't think I should like to go up there, but your photo gives me the feeling I am!

A spectacular shot! Haven't been to Seattle (yet...... Fair warning, Bill & Tara....LOL), but they have a similar needle in San Antonio I've been to. It also has a restaurant at the top that slowly rotates.

Fabulous scene, Marilyn, but I would never go up there myself due to acrophobia.
