Description
On turning right from my position in my previous post, I come to this gate. Its function is to keep vehicles from driving on the bike path. Notice the tracks from the snow plow. They pass right by/through the gate. Yet, the snow on the gate is completely undisturbed! Now how did the snow plow get past the gate without disturbing the snow on the gate? The gate had to be opened for it to pass. The snow is undisturbed on the other side of the gate, too. I can't figure this out. Anyone willing to offer a sane explanation?

That round chrome thingy close to the top of the pole looks like a keyhole that takes some kind of key. I'm guessing that allows the gate to swivel onto the pole.

the gate is a hologram? the driver got out after passing and compacted the snow?
actually I think the gate and vertical pipe are welded together and it rotates on the other buried pipe near ground level

It may have snowed again after whatever vehicle passed through that gate. Or maybe the snow stubbornly adhered surface tensionwise to the gate despite being opened. Otherwise, a very cool capture.
