the park Big Bend gets it's name from a bend in the river. the river has many undertows that causes the death of many people trying to swim across

I bet there's an undertow there. The N. Saskatchewan River here has a very deceptive current as well.

marvelous capture and when I was a child I wanted to visit the rio grande because it was the place where Winnetou lived 😉 the mountains remind me of the kilt rocks in scotland on the isle of sky ☺
