Hi. My real name is Gary and I live in the state of Ohio about 20 miles due north of Cincinnati. My professional background is in mechanical engineering. I studied at the University of Cincinnati. The first half of my career was spent on the drawing board and the second half at a Unigraphics workstation.
But, I have always dabbled in art. I started using Poser when it was first introduced. And, I also started using PhotoShop with version 2.5, in the early 90's.
When I had my home based Product Design & Illustration business, I very often super imposed Victoria 2 into my product renderings just for a human size reference. Poser has really come a long, long way, since those early days. The product content at Renderosity, DAZ, Content Paradise, YURdigital and RDNA is just amazing. The vendors at these sites are incredible.
I really like working in 3D space. That's why I also have Bryce, Carrara and Rhino 3D in my toolbox, as well.
The profile picture is from my pre-UC days. I'm the one with the Rickenbacker.
Well, that's me in a nutshell. See ya!

I also have two devices in operation. Have also Poser 11. Only I can Poser not so good. The Dson Importer does not work with me at all. I wanted to render only great images with Poser. Meanwhile I can render an image with nine people, with hair and clothes. So I do not need Poser. I wish you a lot of fun with your new computer. Oh yes, do not buy so much.

Looks a little Cramped with two monitors you could have one Big Monitor 36" or larger and have both computers hooked to it and switch between them or do Picture in picture and view both at the same time and even watch tv or a movie wile rendering
g1tip
Yep. I do need a better arrangement for the monitors. Hope to get them side by side and on the same eye level soon. This was a quick set up to get me back in business. As far as a TV, there already is a large screen to the left of the monitors.

Great shot! My computer is in the process of dying.

That's why I made the move before I had to do some chest thumping on my older PC. I didn't want to go into a total meltdown before I got everything moved/shared.

I have two desktops but use only one. if I enlarge my tray to accommodate 2 keyboards, then I would use both. I am surfing renderosity while running renders. indirect lighting is a challenge when I use high quality hair from StudioArtvartanian
glad you got both up and running.
bugsnouveau
Now that is cool

Nice to meet you! Anyway, I'm considering getting Poser 11 myself when if goes on sale. In the meantime, I'll keep using 9.

Excellent setup!! Congrats!

I get in enough trouble with one computer. Congratulations on the successful networking. You may need to add a program that causes a crash if you go over a certain amount on the buying binges.

It amazes me sometimes, of all the trouble we go through to satisfy our hobbies and now you're well on your way to VR... LOL
apologies for running late with my commentary, but I have been extremely busy as of late, cheers Gary !

Hey, is that you? You look a bit like Albert Schweitzer. :)
It can be such a hassle when problems show up in our computer systems. Can only hope yours have been resolved by now!

Gee I wish I still had some black hairs on my face,,,,,Babyface! Glad you got your puters working together. I mothballed my 2nd computer, besides 2 55" screens would be hard to keep track of.
