Oh, Vincent van Gogh would have been proud of you with this cool acrylic potpourri rendering of the pretty flowers and vase, Helle. Tonnes of various colors in this. Glad to see you back despite your eye problems.

I'm only doing one comment in each gallery tonight, due to my work load (you know I'll be back for more soon)...This is tremendous, Helle. I love this. I love it. I love the freedom of the lines in the board. I love, above all, the wonderfully free almost spontaneous way you applies color and form to the flowers: They're wholly light and hue, as if they were an abstract; but they're also wholly flowers. And the vase is a beautfiul blue, with lighter hues applied like clay put on with a palette knife. I love the backgrounds too---a more yellow green for the table/surface, and a richer green-green for the background. With lots of blobs and variations of color throughout (something Cezanne loved to do). And I love the darker green on the table, on the left: I don't know if that was something actual, but it's wonderful. As is the white on the other side. And that deep blue shadow. Terrific piece, Helle! (Didn't I see this in a photo you sent? I owe you a letter for your terrific letter, and many thank you's for your comments, as well as for what you said about my writing in your letter. It'll all come, but thank you. It meant a great deal to me.) This is terrific. If this is "loose" for you, bravo! I love this!
