Description

The Saint-Salvy collegiate church has a heterogeneous appearance, reflecting the evolution of the construction methods, mixing roman languedocian art and gothic architecture. The caesura between the two styles is also opposed in materials, stone for the old and red brick for the newest. The duration of the work for buiding it, over nearly seven centuries, was determined by the alternation of good or lean periods. La césure entre les deux styles est également opposée dans les matériaux, la pierre pour l'ancienne et la brique rouge pour la plus récente. De retour depuis trop longtemps pour me replonger dans ces merveilleuses photos qui viennent de ton parcours artistique et photographique! Cette église méritait amplement d'être sublimée pour son incroyable variété architecturale. Nos ancêtres avaient du goût et un brin de fantaisie artistique sûr et inspirant...Superbe photo, Jean-Claude!
