Seasons change with the pass of time, leaving behind what once was mine. A broken heart, words left unsaid, As I lay my head to rest... ...upon this stranger's bed. Thoughts drift into a sleepless night, something within just isn't right. A single tear drifts down my face, Within my heart a cold, empty space. Captured on the winds of change, This loneliness I cannot explain. I'm lying here and you're far away, What more is there left to say? Such time wasted when time was here, Never once thinking the end is near. The depth of our love I now review, While too much time passes between me and you. Seasons change with the pass of time, leaving behind what once was mine.
