Is it OK to say actress?
Or must I say actor?
Best actress?
Best Female Actor?
Best male actor?
I am so confused!

She's proud of her looks.

Political correctness run amok! Especially considering whos in the White House! She's a beauty regardless of the title!

If you wanna say "actress", works for me and doesn't matter if it didn't, say what you like as is your right. That term is perfectly accurate, was never intended as a put-down, and is more specific than the gender-neutral use of "actor" ("Actor Jamie/Pat/Taylor so and so" is a bit confusing unless you already know who they are), and I reject the presumed authority of some unelected, self-appointed neo-priesthood of PCness to say it is now "evil" and has to be done their way or else you go to the irredeemable deplorable disenfranchisement camps. Anyhow, that is a great render and the expression and lighting are just perfect!! Bravo!

Lighting and expression are so beautiful... really great portrait, Sue!

Of course it is okay either way! Keep using actress if you like that word for designating a female thespian. I suggest we start using words like balletguys, househusbands and the most rare of all --- equality!!!! :) Great render!

People are too hung up on being politically correct. Say what you mean and mean what you say, and get on with it. Excellent work on her expression.

Really great render, Sue ! ! ! The lighting is perfect.
I agree with you and GrandmaT. It is very confusing. The transsexual community wants to be labeled as either male or female based on how they classify themselves and to be addressed as so. While, to be "politically correct," some who ARE born gender specific, want to be addressed in a "neutral" salutation. I think "MS" (as in MS Smith) should be thrown completely out of the dictionary. I don't see where that (MS) carries any clout at all! There is nothing chivalrous in addressing a woman/female as MS anything ! ! ! A male theatrical performer is an actor. And a female theatrical performer is an actress. Nuff said!
I would have a very hard time in thinking of Miss Marilyn Monroe as a beautiful "actor."
