Description

Housewive´s Magazine from 1936. How about that, HUH? Fun to see such old stuff. And look who is in the front. Richard Arlen, An American actor. A photo from when he was visiting his son in London´s Zoo. An OLD magazines my Father kept after my Grandfather, who got it, because there was a photo inside, of himself on the Harbour near this place, where he was harbor master and the customs officer. LOL! He was always on the spot, when something official happened in the Harbour. I have seen him on severel Photos, so they got permission to use the photo for 100 Danish crowns. That was alot of money at that time. And we can conclude, that is why he Treasures the magazine LOL! And this harbour was once famous for landing alot of tuna fish. Now the harbour is mostly a Marina. There are only very few commercial fishermen left, sadly. I must use some time to put the Harbour shots into an Album, some day, but it takes AGES, when we dont have a proper system here.

Say there, I remember Richard Arlen back when I was a kid. He acted in mainly adventure films. Funny he should be featured in a Danish newspaper. Your grandfather had a great life as harbor master. That said, great detail and effects in this presentation, Helle.
