Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

Smiles--- Oh yes I agree ! She does appear to give this impression especially just after having a pap test !
Great find she looks good in your garden Andrea.
The other form of concrete is very fitting for a changing room indeed !
Thanks for sharing.

she's definitely covering up (either that or she has to go to the bathroom). Love the way decay makes her blend right into the surrounding. And I love how she's embedded into those beautiful dark leaves. (I don't know plant names.) A very restful, dappled photo, Andrea. And I liked the plinth too---I liked the shot and your treatment. I was trying to figure the connection to this lady, until I saw it was "concrete". Btw, we just don't get to use the word "plinth" enough, if ya know what I mean; and and anytime I can, it's a good day. (Architecture has terms that should've been banned centuries ago: Finial's one of my favorites. Classical architecture's filled with them...acroterion, entablature, architrave, volute, stylobate, boss---boss! As in, "Hey, boss! Get yer ass in gear!" ((In America, "boss" is like "dude".)) Ok, I'll go to the next upload...)
