Description

Since St. Patrick's Day is approaching, I thought I's share a few loosely related renders. While many of you will look at this and immediately think "Stonehenge!" in actuality menhirs can be found all over not only in Britain but also Ireland. They are mysterious relics of pre-Christian (and likely pre-Pagan in certain senses) cultures. Creating the final image took me down many roads in both GIMP and Filter Forge until I finally settled on a painterly quality. It didn't capture the feeling I was looking for until I decided that Monet had the right idea all along with certain landscapes he did. The root of the image was a prop from DM's "Druid Valley" from DAZ. Enjoy!

A very lovely result here. If you like to digifiddle, like I do, you might concider getting the Plugin Virtual Painter 5, which is free. If you dont have it already, that is. :) http://virtual-painter.soft32.com/
